PVR NEST unveils Childscapes Safety Icon.PVR NEST, the social arm of PVR Ltd., India’s largest cinema exhibition company in association with North Municipal corporation of Delhi and Mobile Creches; today, announced the launch of the one-of-a-kind service – Aanchal. The initiative is introduced under the company’s flagship program centered around children at risk – PVR Childscapes. Accelerating vision of sustainable development in child protection and care; the initiative introduces India’s first PPP [Public- Private Partnership] Model on Early Childhood Development (ECD) and Day Care Centres. In its first phase, the project aims at opening 10 care and protection centres across schools in prominent locations in North Delhi.The launch ceremony on Thursday at PVR Plaza, New Delhi witnessed the gracious presence of honorable Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Shri Anil Baijal as Chief Guest. The event also observed the presence of notable figures from public bodies like IAS Ms. Ira Singhal and corporate stalwarts with notable contribution in the space of development and sustainability Ms. Sangeetha Robinson, Head Sustainability and Inclusion, PVR Ltd. The afternoon advanced to a keynote session by IAS Ms. Ira Singhal on the vision behind project ‘Aanchal’ followed by the unveil of the new Childscapes Safety Icon of PVR NEST. Elaborating on the need of Public Private Partnership in addressing India’s social challenges honorable Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Shri Anil Baijal said “Delhi as a city holds a significant percentage of its population who are migrants. Managing work responsibilities for survival whilst ensuring healthy and safe surroundings for their children at their growing age is a concern for many. This initiative is brilliant which not only ensures children are exposed to education and are protected against the atrocities of our society, but it also helps them learn to interact and will develop their cognitive skills. I am happy to see the participation of corporates and individuals on their own capacities to bring a change in our society and support government in its efforts on development and sustainability.I appreciate all the institutes and corporates who have come up with this exemplary initiative which looks at community development.”Envisioned by the revolutionary IAS Ms. Ira Singhal, Deputy Commissioner, North Delhi Municipal Corporation, the project Aanchal aims to address the challenges and gaps in traditional education, health and safety of the marginalized families and women workers.
